Police: Two juveniles, already on probation, arrested for Armed Burglary | Crime
Winter Haven, Florida-- Police arrested two juveniles for Armed Burglary after they broke into a home while the victim was inside.
Today at approximately 9:19 a.m., police say Juwann Vann and Nathaniel Murph, both 15 and from Winter Haven, approached a home located at 1458 Drexel Ave., NE and knocked on the front door.
The victim was inside of the home, but did not see anyone when he looked outside. Police say Vann and Murph assumed no one was home, so they jumped the fence and entered the garage, where they broke open the door and entered the home.
Vann and Murph proceded to gather electronics, but dropped them and fled when the victim walked out of a different room, reports say.
While officers were beginning their search, two males matching the description given by the victim were seen riding bicycles along 13th St., NE.
The victim positively identified Vann and Murph, who were both currently on probation.
"The quick response of our officers has resulted in two repeat criminals being taken off the street," said Chief Gary Hester.
Both were charged with Armed Burglary and Violation of Probation and taken to the Polk County Juvenile Assessment Center in Bartow.
