Suspects charged with traveling to have sex with minors | Crime

Polk County, FL -- Seven men were arrested in the Polk County Sheriff's Office Internet Crimes' latest roundup of sexual predators.

According to the sheriff's office, the seven men responded to scenarios presented to them over the Internet by undercover detectives where they thought they were traveling to meet boys and girls 10 - 14 years old to engage in sexual activity.

The men participated in sexually explicit written and verbal conversations with detectives in emails, online chats, text messages, and phone calls.  Detectives say during the conversations, the men agreed to come to a location in Polk County with the intention of having sex with a child.
