Elementary Science Fairs Superior Projects | Schools

Nearly 80 public school students had their science projects selected as superior by judges in the 2010-2011 Polk Elementary Science Fairs. 

Two fairs were held to accommodate a large number of entries.

Approximately 380 students in 72 elementary schools participated.

Fourth and fifth grade elementary students selected a topic of interest for their science fair projects and determined a question about the topic that could be answered through measurable experimentation.

Projects were assessed by judges from science-related businesses and industries and science instructors from the elementary through university level. All students received a ribbon and certificate for participating. Superior Award winners received an additional ribbon, a medallion and a science fair T-shirt.
