Polk Video Awards took place Tuesday night | Events

Lakeland, Florida --The Polk Video Awards took place Tuesday, May 1 at Victory Church located at 1401 Griffin Road, Lakeland. 

Attendees viewed student-produced videos that included documentaries, animations, music videos and school news broadcasts.

The elementary awards event began at 5 p.m., and the middle school awards began around 7. 

 The creative works of 5,000 students representing 68 schools were featured. Many works from the local Video Awards have gone on to win awards at the state, national and international level since the local awards program began in 1992.

It was only Web streamed on the school district’s website and the county government’s website.
