Winter Haven, Florida -- The boyfriend of Alicia McDonald, the 22-year-old Winter Haven woman found murdered in her car, was taken into custody by police Wednesday morning.
According to the Polk Sheriff's Office, deputies were looking for Michael "Romeo" Andrew Hagan, 25, to talk to him about Alicia's murder and to serve him a warrant for violating his probation from a previous robbery arrest.
Deputies received information on Tuesday evening, Feb. 7, that Hagan was at the Tower View Motel in Lake Wales. When deputies arrived, Hagan refused to come to the door and when SWAT arrived, he eventually surrendered without incident around 3 o'clock Wednesday morning.
Hagan is being held at the Polk County Jail on two counts of Violation of Probation while he is being questioned about Alicia's murdered. The investigation is ongoing and further charges are pending.
