Two stolen Winter Haven puppies found alive

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. -- Two of the missing puppies stolen from a Winter Haven home during a break-in have been found alive.

The 5-week-old chihuahuas were taken, along with TVs and other electronics, from the couple's home. Heather and Robbie were at work when a neighbor alerted them that their place had been broken into.

They believe their home was targeted. The puppies are purebred and worth well over $2,000 a piece.

The female, Tulip, was found in a field near a school. About 10 miles away, one of the males, Hunter, was found near Lake Howard.

Heather hopes someone will do the right thing and return the other male, named Tanner. She says, "I just ask that they drop them off at an EMS or a fire station. Somewhere where there isn't traffic around and they are not going to get hurt."

If you have any information on the case, you can call Polk County Crimestoppers at 1-800 226-TIPS.
