Woman's body found off trail in Winter Haven | News

Winter Haven, Florida -- Police are investigating the death of a woman found along a Winter Haven trail Monday morning.

Winter Haven Police say they were called around 8 a.m., in reference to someone needing medical attention at the bridge along the Chain of Lakes Trail, in front of Care Free Cove. 

When they arrived, they found an unidentified black woman dead just off the trail.

Investigators have released few details so far, but do say they are treating the case as a homicide.
