City of Davenport to celebrate grand opening of fire station
Davenport, Florida -- Polk County Fire Rescue is proud to announce the grand opening of their newest state of the art facility.
The event takes place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at the station – 112 West Palmetto Street, Davenport. It's free and the community is invited to attend the ceremonies and take a tour of the new facility.
This station, the first of its kind in Polk County, is a joint facility, housing Polk County Fire Rescue and Davenport Fire Department. Both agencies have come together to ensure that a seamless level of protection is provided to the residents of the Davenport area.
