Three agriculture teachers from Polk County School District have been recognized for outstanding achievements by the Polk County Farm Bureau (PCFB) at the organization’s annual meeting last month in Bartow.

Kathleen High School teachers Keitha Hall and Kyle Carlton were recognized as the PCFB “Agriculture Program of the Year” for 2011. Founded in 1937, the program currently consists of 300 students and offers courses in forestry, horticulture, animal science, aquaculture, agriculture mechanics, and agriculture communications.
Carlton graduated from the University of South Florida and has been an agriculture teacher at Kathleen since 2000. Hall graduated from the University of Florida and has been an agriculture teacher for twelve years.
